June Francis - Dr. Francis is an Associate Professor of Marketing and is the Co-Founder of The Co-Laboratorio project that works to strengthen cross-sector collaboration, learning and innovation — for more inclusive resilient solutions in governance, policies and industry practice. She is also Director of the Institute for Diaspora Research and Engagement at SFU. She is an advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion for racialized groups as well as the advancement of non-traditional intellectual property law related to community well-being and cultural and human rights through her research, consulting, the media and as a volunteer. Amy Go - Ms. Go is the President of Chinese Canadian National Council for Social Justice. Chinese Canadian National Council educates, engages and advocates for social justice and equity for all in Canada www.ccncsj.ca.
Amy is a social worker by training and has dedicated her professional career to serving immigrants and seniors. For over three decades, Amy has advocated for social justice and rights of women and racialized communities through her leadership role in national, provincial and local service and advocacy organizations. Amy was one of the leaders of the campaign that successfully obtained redress for head tax and Chinese Exclusive Act. Amy is the recipient of Canada’s Birthday Achievement Award, the Woman of Distinction Award from YWCA Toronto and Immigrant Success Individual Award from Toronto Regional Immigrant Employment Council. Amy is currently providing consulting services to facilitate organizational strategic development, program planning, development and review as well as development of culturally appropriate geriatric care
